LODI, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 28, 2001--American International Ventures Inc. (OTC BB: AIVN) reports that it has acquired TLM Industries, Inc ("TLM"). A definitive agreement has been finalized and the satisfactory due diligence review by the parties has been completed. American International Ventures, Inc. has acquired all of the issued and outstanding shares of TLM and in exchange, the shareholders of TLM will receive three million two hundred twenty five thousand (3,225,000) shares of common stock of American International Ventures, Inc. GetToner.com, Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of TLM. Mr. Dominic Taglialatella, CEO of TLM will be appointed Executive Vice President and Director of American International Ventures, Inc.

GetToner.com sells office supply products, principally disposable imaging products such as laser toner, copier toner, inkjet and fax ribbon cartridges for computer printers, fax machines and copiers. Compatible cartridges are manufactured similarly to the specifications of the original equipment model and are priced 60% to 70% less than OEM products. Recycled cartridges have been cleaned, filled and tested and are priced approximately 40% to 50% less than OEM products sold by major retailers. GetToner targets the home-office user, small to medium sized businesses and large associations or user groups. GetToner sells its products through e-commerce at its web-site and through direct sales to specially designed marketing programs for universities, school systems and charitable organizations. IRS, Bureau of Land Management, Department of Veteran Affairs, The Muscular Dystrophy Association, The Historical Research Center, U.S. Post Office and over 100 Schools are customers of GetToner.com.

On December 21, 2000, American Precious Metals, Inc. changed its name to American International Ventures, Inc.
