American International Ventures Reports Positive Results from Bruner Drilling

LODI, N.J., Jul 6, 2004 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- American International Ventures Inc. (OTCBB: AIVN ) is pleased to announce that the drilling project reported in May at the Company's Bruner Property in Nye County, Nevada has been completed. Gold values greater than 0.02 oz/ton were detected in all of the five holes that were drilled, and the results are similar to previous drilling on the property. Higher grade intercepts were present in three of the holes as shown below, and these results may provide clues to discover potential higher grade zones at depth. AIVN's geologists are evaluating the drilling results together with surface geological mapping and sampling that is currently in progress. Preliminary evaluation suggests that the property has good potential to host mineralization similar to Newmont's Ken Snyder mine at depth, however additional drilling will be required to test this potential. In a separate, but related, development in connection with the Company's existing litigation regarding two former officers of the Company, the Nevada District Court in Washoe County, Nevada recently ordered the two former officers to release data relating to the Bruner property to AIVN that they had retained. The combination of this historic data with the new data that AIVN is generating will enable the Company to efficiently plan the next phase of exploration at the Bruner property.

Finally, AIVN is now current on all filings required by the Securities and Exchange Commission, and therefore on June 17 the Company's shares commenced trading on the over the counter bulletin board market (AIVN.OB). AIVN's shares will continue to trade on the Pink Sheets.

AIVN is an exploration stage company that is focused on the acquisition, exploration and development of gold projects. The Company's principal gold asset is the Bruner property, which is located in Nye County Nevada in a region known as the Walker Lane gold belt, 125 miles east-southeast of Reno, Nevada. Several high-grade gold mines and prospects have been developed in the Bruner district in auriferous quartz veins hosted by Tertiary volcanic rocks. Past production at Bruner has been estimated at approximately 55,587 ounces of gold contained in 99,625 tons of ore at a recovered grade of 0.562 oz gold/ton. AIVN controls 28 patented claims totaling 560 acres and 48 unpatented claims totaling 940 acres for a total land position of 1,500 acres in the heart of the Bruner district.
