DIRECTORS and OFFICERS

Mr. Steven R. Davis, President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Davis is a senior mining executive and precious metals geologist with over 35 years of professional experience and management in the minerals industry throughout North, Central and South America. His career focus has been on exploration and advanced development of precious metals systems. Mr. Davis earned an Associate in Science Degree from the College of Eastern Utah and a B.S. Degree in geology from Utah State University. He has also completed numerous post-graduate courses in both geological and management disciplines at various universities including the University of Arizona, the Colorado School of Mines and Harvard University. Mr. Davis has been previously employed and held senior exploration and management roles at The New Jersey Zinc Co., Cordero Mining Co., ASARCO, Inc., Homestake Mining Co., Sun River Mining and Zamora Gold, Ltd. Mr. Davis is a member of the Society of Economic Geologists, the Society of Mining Engineers of AIME, the Northwest Mining Association and the Denver Region Exploration Geologists.

Mr. Myron A. Goldstein, Chairman of the Board and Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Goldstein is a senior mining executive with over 30 years diversified international management, exploration and development experience in precious and base metals and uranium. Mr. Goldstein has significant expertise in corporate governance and management, business development, economic evaluation, negotiations, budget and staff management. He is a graduate of the University of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, where he earned a Ph.D in Physics and Geophysics. His thesis topic was, “Magnetotelluric Experiments Employing an Artificial Dipolar Source;”, and this work led to the development of the CSMAT geophysical technique that is in widespread use in mining exploration. He also earned a M.S. in Geophysics from the, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA., and a B.S. degree in Engineering Geophysics, from the Colorado School of Mines, Golden, CO. He has previously been employed by Kennecott Copper, Esso Eastern, Chevron Exploration Corporation, Unirex, Coeur d’Alene Mines Corporation, Lac Minerals and Global Mining Management from 1995 to present.

Mr. James K. Duff, Director
Mr. Duff is an experienced mining executive with 35 years of diverse international experience in the precious and base metal mining industry in U.S., Canada, Latin America and Australasia. He earned a BS degree in geology from the Mackay School of Mines at the University of Nevada Reno, an MS degree in geology from the University of Idaho, and he completed the Program for Management Development at the Harvard School of Business. Mr. Duff has previously been employed by Bear Creek Mining Company (Kennecott Copper Company), Newmont Mining Company, Cyprus Mining Company, White Pine Copper Company, the Bunker Hill Company, St. Joe Minerals, Bond International Gold Company and Coeur d'Alene Mines Corporation. From 1995 through 2002 he was Vice President of Business Development for Coeur d'Alene Mines, a public company listed on the New York Stock Exchange,and he is currently President of South American Operations for Coeur d’Alene Mines, based in La Paz, Bolivia. Mr. Duff also serves as the non-executive Chairman of Little Squaw Gold Mining Company, a publicly listed U.S. company that has a large exploration stage gold property in Alaska. 

Mr. Brian G. Russell, Director
Mr. Russell, graduated from the University of Witwatersrand in 1951 with degrees in geology and chemistry. He worked for nineteen years with the Council for Mineral Technology (MINTEK) in South Africa doing analytical research, established an X-Ray Fluorescence Section and directed the Development Metallurgical Process Technology. While at MINTEK he presented and published many scientific papers and supervised several masters and doctorate degrees. In 1974 he was appointed Director of the South African Minerals Bureau and represented South Africa on the International Standards Organization Committee for the standardization of Ferro alloys and received an award for meritorious service from the American Institute for Mining, Metallurgical and Petroleum Engineers. Mr. Russell of presently a consultant for USA and Canadian companies that develop precious metals.

Mr. Walter J. Salvadore Jr., Director
Mr. Salvadore is currently Chief Strategy Director, as well as director of deBug-it, LLC., a specialized computer services firm. Mr. Salvadore is also a junior partner in the financial asset management firm Draseena Funds Group as well as President of R&S Enterprises a firm that provides business consulting services. Mr. Salvadore was founder, President and CEO of Risco, a distribution firm whose specialty was high temperature refractory and insulation products and engineered design. Mr. Salvadore is a Ceramic Engineer and a graduate of Rutgers University (BS Ceramic E.). Mr. Salvadore is also former President of the American Ceramic Society and long term member of the local Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Arthur deWitt Ackerman, Director
Mr. Ackerman began his business career as a field underwriter with Home Life Insurance Company of New York where he became a charter member of the Top of the Million Dollar Roundtable and the Hall of fame. His interest in gold and gold shares began in 1971 as a private investor. In 1975 he founded Arthur Ackerman Associates Inc., advising individuals and institutions in selecting private equity, hedge funds, and alternative investments. He is currently Executive Vice President of The Middleton Group. LLC, an investment banking boutique focusing on structing and funding early stage technology companies.

Mr. Jack Wagenti, Chief Financial Officer, Secretary Treasurer and Director
Mr. Wagenti is a Director, Secretary, and Chief Financial Officer of U.S. Precious Metals, Inc. since June 2002. Mr. Wagenti is a Director, Secretary/Treasurer and CFO of American International Ventures, Inc. since June 2003. Mr. Wagenti was President and Director of American International Ventures, Inc. from 1996 to May 2002, and June 2003 to March 2004.
